The Bible says that out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). Or in this case, writes. And I have felt for a long time, that the action of putting thoughts into words does not so much express the thought, but completes it. How much of what we think are chaotic feelings, vague impressions and unspecified notions! But once poured – or pounded – into words, they are alive the way we are, spirits placed into bodies. They occupy time and space and sometimes do things and go places we never imagined.
